90 Seconds To Midnight
One day I saw this image in my head of an apartment building with two trees on fire outside of it. As I began to develop the sketch I thought about how there’s so much going on In the world, and here I am- creating away- while everything is falling apart. There’s a verse in the book of John chapter 9 that says:
“I must work the works of him that sent me,
whilst it is still day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”
That verse makes me think about how our time is limited and how while we are young, while we are alive, while we are still here; we should be making the most of every opportunity. Living our lives and pursuing our purpose to the fullest. There is coming a day when no good deeds can be done, a day when all has to be accounted for.
This is 90 seconds to midnight.
